Big
Hayes specimen lake was dug in 2006 and opened to the general public in
May 2007. The lake is 8.5 acres in size and stocked with around 750
carp made up of a good mix of commons and mirrors ranging between 10lb
and 34lb. There is total of 18 well spaced easily accessible wood
chipped swims. Big Hayes also has a stone track most of the way
around the lake with parking bays behind the swims, making it ideal for
the angler that likes to take those extra luxuries! The bottom of the
lake is made up of clay with an average depth of 5ft dropping to around
9ft by the overflow.

Our sponsor for this event - Baitzone - will be awarding prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, with a

About baitzone
Baitzone originated in 2009 when we pondered the lack of PVA friendly baits on the market.
From the basic idea we have developed an ever increasing range of quality PVA friendly products.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of our baits,
which offer excellent value for money in a strong re-useable bucket,
which are both environment and fish friendly. Our baits are 'Ready to
fish', just open the lid and use straight from the bucket, no need to
prepare.
