The Final of the 2012 Casting for Cancer Carp Tournament will be held on the weekend of Friday 28th Septemtber - Sunday 30th September at the awesome Broadlands Lakes in Hampshire.
Just off the M27 nr Romsey, known as the most beautiful coarse fishery the south has to offer, with over 30 acres of water set on an 82 acre estate with breath taking wildlife surrounding you in this peaceful location
Broadlands lake is fed from the chalk stream rivers of the famous river Test and is now a well established fishery , in one year alone over 4000 double figure carp were caught including more than 500 over 20lb's.
Carp up to 37lb+ , Grass Carp to 25lb+ , Pike to 30lb+ , Tench to 8lb+ , Roach to 3lb+, Bream to 14lb+ & Eels to 10lb+ have been recorded .There are special features for the disabled angler including lakeside fishing secure platforms & lakeside carpark
As per usual the event will include a full hog roast on Saturday afternoon, and a couple of beers on us! During this social couple of hours the competion will be suspened and the lake will be opened to wives and families
And you might meet a celebrity angler or two....Shhhh
The match will start at 12 on Friday and finishes 48
hours later at 12pm on Sun. Booking in will run from 08:00 -
09:30 on the Friday morning and pre-baiting and plumbing will be
allowed from 11:00 until the midday start. This is a singles
match.
There
are no tickets for this event, this is the final, the only way here is
to win your way through a qualifier, which means 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the
singles, 1st and 2nd in the pairs and the single greatest fundraiser
from each event.
The
winners of the final will be given theie choice of prize from a huge
range of bait and tackle items donated by our ever generous sponsors.
Prizes will be awared to as many places as we can fund, with
selections from the prize fund being made by the anglers, in turn,
based on thier place.
A very special prize is also going to the person who raised the most sponsorship out of all of the qualifiers
